 What WIC Does
What will you receive?
Nutrition Education – You will receive information to help you choose nutritious foods, as well as improve you and your family’s health and well-being.

Breastfeeding Promotion and Education – Breastfeeding provides many physical, nutritional, economical and emotional benefits for both you and your child.  WIC supports breastfeeding, and encourages all mothers to breastfeed.

Nutritious Foods – WIC provides monthly food checks which are used to buy nutritious foods.  WIC foods provide high levels of protein, iron, calcium and vitamins A and D.  The food package you receive is tailored to your specific dietary needs and preferences.

Access to Services – WIC links participants with a variety of maternal, prenatal and pediatric health care services, as well as helping you find other groups in your area that can help you and your family.
